12 Week Self-Challenge Week 3
So, I'm pretty proud of how well I did last week before Thanksgiving. I didn't end up exercising on Wednesday, like I planned, it was just way too busy, but up to then, I had exercised every weekday from the previous week through Tuesday, November 22! On Thanksgiving morning, I weighed myself and was 138.5! I had lost a pound since the previous weigh-in, so was pretty happy with that.
So, my next goal is to now loose around 2 pounds each week, at least up to a certain point. Right now, I'm hoping to do this until I post my next goal a few weeks from now. I don't know how long my body will let me do this, so I'll just see what happens, but I know right now, this is very doable and hopefully I can achieve it.
Yesterday, I weighed myself and was 139 pounds. I don't think this is bad considering ALL the food I did eat from Thanksgiving through the rest of the long weekend. We had enough food at our big family gathering to feed the entire state. Derek's brother and his fiancé were here, so we had them over for pizza, and then Sunday when they left, we all went out for a nice, big breakfast. So, just gaining .5 a pound is just fine with me!
Over the weekend, Derek moved the treadclimber into the guest room. Now, I can workout and watch my TV shows at the same time! This equals a much more enjoyable (that also seems to go faster) workout, along with a longer one. Monday and yesterday I did a 40 minute workout! Today, I went back to 30 minutes because his headphones were plugged in and I am not sure how to switch back to normal sound...it's not as simple as just plugging cords back in.
Once I can find my weights, I'll be back to doing Zumba on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Happy Thanksgiving!
We just got done having a huge Thanksgiving dinner. Pretty sure we could have fed all of Rock Springs with the food too :) We had about 26 people including all the kids and it was loud and crazy and fun! Could have gone much differently, that's for sure. Derek's brother, Orin, and his new fiancee came up, so Lexi got to meet her Uncle Orin and Aunt Heather (who I might add: is Heather Ann and soon to be Robinson just like me, doesn't like to cook, likes country music, AND was born in South Dakota. Yeah...we're twins!) I think Lexi enjoyed the commotion, but did miss her nap so started to get pretty tired. We did get some great pictures though.

12 Week Self-Challenge Week 2
I did fairly good last week. Did great in the exercise department and did so-so in the food department. I exercised all 5 days and had well portioned meals for all my breakfasts and lunches. Dinners were a bit different, but I wasn't going to argue with Derek when he brought home McDonalds topped off with my favorite coffee :) I think I did manage to have three coffees last week though, so that was bad!
Yesterday my weight was 139.5, so I at least lost half a pound. Hoping this week I can start really losing it. Today I also started Zumba Sculpting. It's a really fun workout, but now I need to find my weights. I have no idea where they are, haven't used weights in probably 3 years. If I can find those, the sculpting workout will be twice as effective.
Hard to believe we're only two days away from Thanksgiving! It'll be interesting to see where I'm at in just two more days, but I'm happy with the fact that I've kept to my goal, and that's huge for me!

12 Week Self-Challenge Week 1
Okay, so I'm now getting back on the exercising and portion control wagon! I want to do a 12 week self-challenge just for myself. I'm going to, for now, set three goals, but have them at different times during this 12 week period. My first goal: just see what I can do between now and Thanksgiving. I started this on Monday, so I have technically 11 days if you count Monday until Thanksgiving Day itself. However, I'm going to say 10 days because I won't be doing any exercising on Thanksgiving, I'm sure. My goal until Thanksgiving is to exercise Monday through Friday. So far, I've exercised Monday through today! I'm very proud of this! I will be doing the tread climber for 30 minutes Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays; then Zumba for 20 minutes on Tuesdays and Thursdays. However, starting next Tuesday, I'll be going from Zumba Basics to Zumba Sculpting, so I'm not sure if it will remain a 20 minute workout or be different. I'm excited to start it though. Since I just started this back up, I'm guessing the first week I'll probably gain weight and then start losing. Right now, I'm not setting any weight loss goals, just exercise and eating goals.
On Monday, I weighed in at 140 pounds. I'm SO not proud of this, yuck! I gained back what I lost from doing Biggest Loser, but am determined to get it off again. I wasn't going to keep a food tracker, but I did one for the first half of Biggest Loser and had lost 4.5 pounds during that time. It was after I stopped that I started gaining and losing and not being consistent. So, I've decided to do one again. It really helps to actually see what I eat. Luckily, I haven't been starving lately, so portion control isn't a problem right now.
Till next time :)

5 Months
I seriously cannot believe our little baby is 5 months old already! Even harder to believe that, now, in less than a month, she'll be half a year old! It literally feels like I just had her! Though, it does feel like forever since she wouldn't sleep in her bassinet for the first few nights and Derek and I would take turns sleeping with her in his recliner.
She decided to roll over on Saturday! She was pretty happy about it, until she decided she couldn't remember how to roll back over to her back lol. Then she just got mad and started sobbing into the floor. She absolutely loves her jumper and 'dances' in it. She'll twirl it around in circles and laugh and smile. Once she figures those legs out, there's no hope for me! Bet I'll be thin as a toothpick in a matter of weeks too! I really think she'll be walking by the time she's at least one. Could be wrong, but her legs just want to go, her arms are the things that don't want to do anything. She won't push up with them or anything.
She's finally getting better about her crib. Though, every time I end up thinking that, she goes back to waking up every 3 hours and then I start all over. Seems like when that happens, all it takes is a night in the swing to 'reset' her sleep and she's fine again. It's so weird. Maybe it's just her growth spurts. However, I was not meant to be an every 2-hour mom! My body just can't handle it, to the point where I actually won't get up for 20ish minutes because I hear her, but my brain doesn't recognize it as a reason to get up. And then, I'll realize I need to get her haha. Right now, she's going to sleep around 8-8:30, or that's when I start her bedtime routine, and then she does a weird thing where she'll wake up 30-60 minutes later and cry. The last few nights we've just let her cry herself back to sleep and then she'll either sleep till around midnight or she'll sleep till 4. Then she'll go back down until around 7:30 or 8. Sometimes she goes back in her crib, sometimes she goes to her swing. Depends on if she actually goes back to sleep. She seriously gets super excited when I put her in her swing though. She kicks and laughs (this is at 4 am haha) and as soon as I put the blanket on her and start her swing, she's literally out. I really want a rocking crib, it would make her a 10 hour sleeper every night lol!
Took our Christmas pictures yesterday, but I won't post them until Christmas. I had wanted some nice ones from Walmart, but decided it probably wouldn't happen, especially with Derek's extremely busy work schedule right now, so we just put her in a cute Christmas dress and took one. It'll go in the Christmas letter I'm finishing up. We'll see if it really gets out to people :)
She now weighs 15.0 pounds! She's so big now!! But, she somehow still fits into some of her 0-3 month onesies, so that's been nice. I think the weight is mostly in her little legs and chubby cheeks. She always looks like she's got a little Buddha Belly, but when she stretches out, it's really long and skinny. I think that's why she still fits into some small clothes. She hasn't worn any 6 month clothes yet. It has been nice getting a lot of use out of all the clothes we have.
She's finally found out she can grab her toes too instead of just wishing she could. She loves doing this when I change her. In fact, she'll hold on to them so tightly that her fingers will turn white. No clue why it doesn't hurt! And she's figured out that if she lifts up at just the right time, the diaper I'm putting on will get pulled out from under her and she thinks that's pretty funny.
I'm going to start her on baby oatmeal very soon too. I haven't tried rice in several weeks, but my uncle said it's not going to help her constipation with all the starch, so not to give her that. We'll see if she likes the oats better. I'm also thinking about starting to introduce some veggies. She loves trying things, just never quite knows what to do with them and makes pretty funny faces. I have a feeling she'll be like her cousin, Noah, and know how to eat everything but the lima beans and proceed to have the ability to spit only that part out.
So until next month:

Lexicon Updates
Yes, I did in fact write Lexicon. That's Derek's 'online' name for her and I think it's adorable. Anyway, yesterday our little munchin, chubby cheeks was 5 months old!! So hard to believe that she's only a month away from being half a year old already! It's flying by way too fast, I'd like to slow things down a bit, maybe even go back a few months and make them slow way down! But, she's also so much fun at this age too. So: I think we left off at 2 months. So: 3 months...in mid-September, my Grandma and Grandpa Hargis along with my Aunt Sue came to see her. That was a lot of fun and I know they really enjoyed meeting their first great grandbaby/great niece. I don't really remember what her new things were at that month, they're in her baby book, but I'm too lazy to go over and look through it right now. But below are some 3 month pictures to enjoy. Can I just say that I'm constantly annoyed at how there doesn't appear to be a way to flip pictures into the right position??
